    Position Summary

    **GENERAL SUMMARY:** Instruct or coach groups or individuals in tennis activities; demonstrate techniques and form, observe participants, and explain to them corrective measures necessary to improve their skills; develop and implement individualized approaches to learning; and direct and lead children and adults of various ages teaching Tennis skills, rules, etiquette and sportsmanship in a fun environment.

    Job Duties

    Job Duties

    + Teach age-appropriate tennis rules, skills and techniques.

    + Develop educational and training programs.

    + Evaluate capabilities and training needs; and skills of athletes.

    + Demonstrate activity techniques and equipment use.

    + Enforce rules and regulations.

    + Explain regulations, policies, and procedures.

    + Administer First Aid or call for assistance as needed

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    + **Customer and Personal Service** - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services which includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

    + **Education and Training** - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.

    + **Service Orientation** - Looking for ways to help people.

     

    Supplemental Information

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + More than 1 year working with children and/or adults.

    + Knowledge of tennis rules, techniques and philosophies.

    + At least 16 years of age.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Leadership experience.

    + Tennis knowledge and background including instruction preferred.

    + Experience working with a diverse workforce and population

    **SUPERVISORY STATUS:** Functional

    **FLSA STATUS** : Non-exempt
