Job Summary

The Multi-Product Activation Platform plays a crucial role in the activation and personalization of Comcast's flagship leased gateways. As a high-visibility team within the activation ecosystem, we handle approximately 35,000 new activations daily and continuously improve the activation experience for over 30 million customers.

This is a full DevOps team working with cutting-edge technologies. Our platform is built using cost-effective, serverless AWS components, with extensive use of Python, Concourse, GitHub Actions, and observability through the ELK stack.

Job Description

_This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. To be considered for this role, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future._

Core Responsibilities

+ Involved in end-to-end software development lifecycle of the product.

+ Analyze and understand requirements, work with development leads and implement the change using Java, Python, AWS services.

+ Prepare the necessary unit tests and integration tests and test the change in development environment.

+ Involved in E2E test process with clients and address any issues arising from the E2E test. Prepare the change to be deployed to production environment.

+ Document release notes, change summary. Deploy the changes in production environment in a controlled release way, using concourse or github actions.

+ Do any necessary production support, when issues arise in the product in production environment. Respond to system generated alerts on platform and provide solution to issues.

+ Work in a collaborative environment with teams within the organization and outside the organization with engineers, product and E2E testing teams.

+ Weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
