Job Summary and Qualifications

Medical Technologist Lead

As the Medical Technologist Lead, you will assist the Lab department Supervisor with managing the technical operations of their department.

What you will do in this role:

+ You will review Quality Control and Calibration, facilitate the training schedule and competencies for the department staff.

+ You will manage the Proficiency testing for the department, and other duties, as assigned by the department Supervisor.

+ You will be responsible for specimen processing, test performance and reporting test results.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or Biological, Chemical or Physical Science – required

+ National Certification as an MT(ASCP), MT(AMT) or MT(AAB) required

+ Demonstrated education, training, experience and technical abilities in each of the required areas of expertise

+ Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all co-workers, staff, patients, patient families and vendors

+ Proficient computer skills, i.e. ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and other programs for creating reports.
