Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our clients team in Livermore, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position requires someone who can effectively manage financial records, ensure accurate data entry, and support various accounting functions. If you excel in maintaining organized financial systems and are skilled in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivable transactions, including deposits from platforms such as Affirm, Klarna, Stripe, Shopify, and others.

• Manage accounts payable, including PO-based and non-PO-based bills and payments, prepaids, and expense tracking.

• Perform purchasing tasks, including receiving and billing against purchase orders.

• Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure financial accuracy.

• Oversee cash management activities to maintain proper fund allocation.

• Handle sales tax management, including state registrations and compliance.

• Utilize tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Adobe for financial documentation and reporting.

• Prepare and process employee benefits such as healthcare, dental, 401K contributions, and payroll-related tasks.

• Conduct heavy data entry with precision, leveraging ten-key touch capabilities.

• Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to maintain smooth financial operations.

Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable.

• Strong skills in account reconciliation and month-end close processes.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite and other accounting software.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

• Ability to manage payroll tasks and employee benefits, including 1099s.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.

• Comfortable with heavy data entry and ten-key by touch.

• Familiarity with sales tax management and state registrations.
