Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our medical device client's accounting team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to our vendors, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in relevant software. Apply today!
Responsibilities:
+ Process invoices for payment, verifying accuracy, approvals, and supporting documentation.
+ Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure proper authorization.
+ Enter invoice data into the accounting system accurately and efficiently.
+ Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and other electronic payments.
+ Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
+ Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, invoice discrepancies, and other inquiries.
+ Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and files.
+ Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and reconciliations.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
+ Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and efficiency.
+ Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports.
+ Assist with audits as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
+ Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and procedures.
+ Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., [Name specific software used by your company, such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle]) and Microsoft Excel.
+ Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail.
+ Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
