Description
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Director of Finance to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will oversee financial planning and analysis (FP& A) and accounting while providing leadership and strategic direction to a global team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with operations management and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive financial planning and analysis (FP& A) and accounting support to global facilities.
• Lead and mentor a team of analysts, ensuring effective support for regional and facility operations.
• Collaborate with operations management to deliver insightful reporting, strategic guidance, and technical expertise.
• Oversee the group's involvement in month-end close activities, including journal entries and compliance requirements.
• Present monthly and quarterly performance results to both operations and finance leadership teams.
• Analyze monthly performance by comparing actual results to forecasts, plans, and trends.
• Work with operations to develop annual budgets and adjust monthly forecasts by business line and region.
• Support internal and external audit processes as necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Take on special projects and assignments as needed, with occasional travel required.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced certifications are a plus.
• At least 10 years of combined experience in accounting and financial planning within a large, publicly traded international company.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with financial systems such as Hyperion and Oracle.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and related compliance requirements.
• Experience with process improvement tools such as Alteryx or Power Query is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
