Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Midland, Texas. This role is based within the drilling industry and will involve maintaining and updating financial data for a company operating in the Permian Basin.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately documenting financial transactions, including revenues, expenses, accounts payable, and receivable in appropriate journals.

• Performing monthly and periodic reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy.

• Precisely entering and updating all financial data in accounting systems or ERP programs.

• Upholding compliance with regulatory standards, accounting principles (GAAP), and company policies.

• Assisting in preparing financial reports, summaries, and statements for executive review. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet reconciliation, bank account reconciliation, and expense reconciliation

• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with bank reconciliations

• Proven bookkeeping skills

• Ability to effectively perform data entry tasks

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month end close procedures

• Knowledge of payroll processes

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Sage 100 software

• Experience with Sage Accounting Software, and other Sage Software

• Ability to prepare, record, and post journal entries

• Comfortable with adjusting journal entries and month-end journal entries

• Experience with daily reconciliation, including ledger account reconciliation and statement reconciliations

• Ability to reconcile bank statements, bank accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
