+ **Stryker’s Global Quality & Operations (GQO)** is a centralized global function within Stryker that brings our products to life for our customers. Our 20,000+ people, located at over 45 sites worldwide, are responsible for procurement, planning, advanced operations, manufacturing, regulatory, quality, distribution, and logistics, enabling Stryker to deliver high-quality supply.
+ This role will cover **4 facilities globally** , with a **$700M+ spend, leading a team of approximately 40 sourcing professionals.**

Strategic Priorities:
The **Senior Director, Sourcing** will work collaboratively across **Global Quality & Operations (GQO)** and **Commercial leadership teams** of the Division to implement the strategy for the sourcing function. In this capacity, the Senior Director will leverage advanced analytics to optimize sourcing and procurement processes, drive operational excellence, and mitigate risk across the global supply chain.
+ **Enterprise Value Creation** : Partner with Procurement stakeholders to develop and implement a sourcing strategy that aligns with overall business objectives, creating value through improved cost performance, accelerated innovation cycles, and enhanced supplier collaboration. Enable sustainable growth through proactive supply base management and strategic investment in supplier development. **Financial & Operational Excellence:** Implement a strategy to drive **cost modelling** and **negotiation performance** across suppliers and vendors, ensuring financial outcomes meet or exceed established KPIs while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
+ **Cross-functional Leadership:** Partner with **Advanced Operations** , **Supplier Quality** , and **R&D** to transform manufacturing processes and supplier relationships, enhancing sustainability and operational performance.
+ **Supply Chain Resilience & Risk Mitigation:** Partner with the Category team to implement a strategy that incorporates **risk analytics** to identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks. Leverage digital platforms to enhance real-time visibility into supply chain performance, enabling proactive management of disruptions (e.g., geopolitical, regulatory changes, and supply shortages).
+ **Digital Sourcing:** Lead the adoption of cloud-based procurement systems, ensuring efficient supplier communication and contract management with automated workflows. Champion the digitization of the sourcing process for improved efficiency, transparency, and decision-making.
+ **Digital Transformation:** Drive the use of data driven predictive analytics to forecast market trends, optimize supplier performance and automate procurement decisions. Leverage digital tools to monitor supplier performance and proactively address potential risks, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and business priorities.
The Opportunity:
The Senior Director, Sourcing will be responsible for leading teams in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to optimize the supply chain through partnerships with world-class suppliers, focusing on **cost/operational management, supplier relationship management** , and leveraging digitization for performance improvement and risk reduction.
+ **Supplier Optimization & Performance:** Lead senior sourcing teams to refine supplier management strategies by integrating **data driven** performance tracking, risk analysis, and negotiation insights. Enhance supplier performance through **predictive analytics** to forecast and avoid potential disruptions.
+ **Strategic Supplier Partnerships:** Act as the senior escalation point for complex supplier management issues, ensuring critical supplier relationships are optimized for long-term stability. Drive **contract management** and ensure compliance by leveraging data analytics for improved contract compliance tracking and monitoring.
Leadership:
+ **Setting Direction:** Partner with cross function stakeholders to align Stryker’s sourcing function with the Divisions overall business goals and adapting to emerging trends in procurement technology and risk management.
+ **Building Organizational Capability:** Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting the use of **advanced analytics** and tools to increase operational efficiency. Education & Special Training:
+ Bachelor’s degree in **supply chain management** , **Engineering** , **Finance** , or a related field; **Master’s degree** preferred.
Qualifications & Experience:
+ 10+ years of experience in **Operations** , **Quality** functions, or other related roles, with a proven track record in **digital transformation** initiatives within sourcing and procurement.
+ At least **5+ years of experience managing people** , with an emphasis on leading cross-functional teams to execute **digitally enabled** sourcing strategies.
+ **Experience in the medical device or other regulated industries** is preferred.
+ Expertise in **contract negotiation** , supplier management, and **commercial agreements** , leveraging digital tools to streamline processes.
+ Demonstrated experience in **digital sourcing tools** and **AI/advanced analytics** to support decision-making and drive risk mitigation strategies across sourcing operations.
+ **Proven leadership** in navigating **complex supplier networks** with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks using **predictive analytics** .
+ Strong **financial analysis** , with a focus on driving cost efficiency and reducing supply chain risks using **data-driven forecasting models** .
+ Demonstrated success in leading teams through change, particularly in adopting **best in class sourcing solutions** to create long-term value and agility in the supply chain.

+ $ **223,000** - $ **340,000** salary plus bonus eligible + generally eligible for short-term and long-term financial incentives + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
