Job Title: Energy EngineerJob Description
We are looking for an experienced Energy Engineer with a focus on energy modeling for existing buildings. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial building energy performance, including energy auditing, data analysis, and a solid understanding of HVAC, lighting, and control systems. Proficiency in energy modeling software such as IES is preferred.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct energy modeling for existing commercial buildings using IES software.
+ Analyze energy performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
+ Perform energy audits and assess the efficiency of HVAC, lighting, and control systems.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement energy-efficient solutions.
+ Stay informed about local rate structures and incentive programs to optimize energy use.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in IES energy modeling software.
+ 3+ years of experience in energy modeling for existing buildings.
+ Strong understanding of building envelope, electrical engineering, and MEP systems.
+ Expertise in energy audits, energy efficiency, and energy analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of measurement and verification techniques.
+ Experience with local rate structures and incentive programs.
+ Understanding of data analytics and end-use analysis.
+ Familiarity with commissioning processes.
Work Environment
Initially, work will be conducted in-office for five days a week to become familiar with the team and projects. After the initial period, there is flexibility, with most of the team working three days in-office and two days remotely. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.70 - $57.70/hr.
