What You Will Achieve
Your expertise in Engineering, Maintenance and Utilities will help in leading the continued transformation of all aspects of the site including API (Active Pharmaceutics Ingredients) and DP facilities. You will ensure that EMU colleagues are fully aligned with the Pfizer values by demonstrating those values and fostering a culture where people feel seen, heard and cared for. You will be responsible for ensuring site assets are well maintained in alignment with Pfizer/Industry standards, reliable and available for manufacturing. You will also be responsible for the site capital project teams and budgets ensuring projects are prioritized and completed on time and on budget, and operate as intended. Your project management skills will be important to ensure timely deliverables.
As a Senior Director, your innovative ideas and timely decision-making play an important role in the reliable and efficient operation of all site assets. The maintenance, capital and utility teams you lead support both API and Drug Product Operations and associated utilities. Your decisions will impact capital investments, shutdown efficiency, equipment reliability, operational effectiveness and provide the foundation for us to achieve our PGS goals. Your ability to leverage constructive relationships across divisions will help you maximize the resources available within the organization. Your ability to exercise foresight and judgment in initiating, planning, and executing complex equipment projects will be critical to the achievement of Site goals.

How You Will Achieve It
This Senior Director is accountable to:
+ Function as a member of the Kalamazoo Site Leadership Team, leading by example to demonstrate Pfizer values and behaviors and foster the same in others.
+ Partner with the Kalamazoo Site Leadership Team to create and maintain a culture where people feel seen, heard, and cared for.
+ Lead the teams that provide site engineering support, which includes API/DP maintenance, site services, utilities/facilities operations, integrated facilities management (IFM), reliability engineering, capital project engineering and automation. This is an organization of 300-400 people, including tradespeople, project managers, engineers, and other technical staff.
+ Lead and be accountable for all aspects of site maintenance for all facilities noting that our site includes substantial Quality Operations, API and Drug Product facilities and associated utilities and warehouses.
+ Lead and be accountable for all aspects of the site Capital program including planning, prioritizing, budgeting, and execution of projects for all areas of the facility, noting that our site has substantial Quality Operations, API, and Drug Product facilities and associated utilities and warehouses
+ Lead the Kalamazoo Site Services organization with responsibility for janitorial service, lawn and grounds, on-site cafeteria and many other areas.
+ Collaborate and consult with appropriate Center functional groups (i.e. Global Engineering, Global Technical Services, and Procurement) to ensure alignment with Corporate and/or Divisional requirements regarding corporate guidelines, recommended best practices, and reporting requests
+ Partner with above site teams to ensure alignment with Capital planning and Budgets, IFM strategies, and other PGS programs.
+ Lead the development and continuous refresh of the Kalamazoo Site Master Plan including QO, DP and API ( Active Pharmaceutics Ingredients), that supports 1000's of assets that help us produce 600+ products and associated SKUs, Ensure the site Capital Plan aligns with and supports the Site Master Plan and Site Strategies. Define and manage the strategy for the development of the site infrastructure, Automation and Utilities systems. This includes connections to and in coordination with the Site Technology Master Plan, Digital Master Plan, and connections to Quality plans and Audit commitments.
+ Responsible for the development, execution, and management of the site's Capital Project Portfolio. Provides direction to capital site engineering projects for equipment and/or renovations at the site, which includes design, construction, budget and schedule management, commissioning, and completion.
+ Ensures all projects are designed and constructed in accordance with current GMP, safety, environmental, energy conservation, and local, state and/or federal regulations.
+ Create, monitor, and achieve department budget. Report variances and work to resolve issues that generate variances.
+ Work across multiple departments and manage multiple competing priorities and requirements.
+ Be a champion for IMEx and accountability, demonstrate supportive leadership, and support decision making at the right level.
**Here Is What You Need** (Minimum Requirements)
+ Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or technical equivalent with 8+ years' experience working in the pharmaceutical industry in a cGMP environment, MS Degree with 7+ years of experience, or PhD with 5+ years of experience.
+ Minimum of 5 years experience as a leader of leaders, successfully leading staff level colleagues.
+ Demonstrated business acumen and ability to understand and utilize financial analyses to make good decisions in a manufacturing environment.
+ Demonstrated strategic and technical capabilities, and a commitment to mutual accountability.
+ Demonstrated change management skills, and ability to engage colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
+ Demonstrated success leading a diverse organization.
+ Track record for developing strong leaders and managing successful projects.
+ Strong interpersonal, communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
+ Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $204,700.00 to $341,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
