• Substitute Elementary School Psychologist

    The Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District has an opening for a Substitute Elementary School Psychologist. The successful candidate will need to:

     

    + Possession of exceptional verbal and written communication skills;

    + Ability to select and administer age appropriate cognitive, behavioral and/or academic assessments to determine needs of a student;

    + Interpret assessment results and compile comprehensive psychological assessment reports that address reasons for referral and appropriate recommendations;

    + Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team and work as a team member in making placement decisions, developing intervention plans and planning programs to meet the needs of students;

    + Participate in eligibility, reevaluation, and other committees (CPSE or CSE) meetings to contribute to the development of an IEP, 504, or building plan; \

    + Consult and provide resources to administrators, teachers, staff, and families regarding the academic/psychological needs of students;

    + Collaborate to provide in-service training and workshops regarding mental health issues, proper procedures for referrals and presentation of data as determined by building or district administration.
