Description
Join Our Team as a Quality Inspector!
Join our aerospace machine shop as a Quality Inspector, ensuring precision-machined components meet AS9100 and customer standards. This mid-level role is perfect for inspectors with some experience, ready to perform complex inspections and support quality processes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Perform inspections using tools like CMM, optical comparators, and profilometers.
+ Read technical drawings with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
+ Conduct first-article (FAI per AS9102), in-process, and final inspections, logging results in MRP/ERP systems.
+ Identify non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis and CAPA.
+ Maintain and calibrate inspection tools.
+ Verify material certifications and inspect raw materials or processed parts.
+ Follow FOD prevention, cleanroom, and safety protocols.
+ Support AS9100 audits and work with quality engineers on non-conformance issues.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
+ Minimum 1-2 years of experience inspecting machined aerospace or military parts.
+ Familiarity with reading blueprints and basic GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
+ Comfortable using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, profilometers, etc.).
+ Basic experience with CMM programming (PCDmis) and software like 1factory, Foxit, Excel, or MRP/ERP systems.
+ Awareness of AS9100, AS9102, NCR, CAPA, and material certifications.
+ Knowledge of FOD prevention and cleanroom protocols.
+ Clear communication in English, both written and verbal.
+ Shop math and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and in a team.
+ Must pass annual visual acuity and color perception test in accordance with NDT standards.

Shifts:
+ Full-time: Mon-Fri, 6:00am-2:30pm or 6:00am-3:30pm (every other Friday off)
Pay:
+ $22.50-$26.50 per hour

Physical Demands: Work is primarily performed in an open warehouse environment with exposure to temperature changes, noise, vibrations, fumes, and chemicals.
+ Frequent repetitive use of wrists, hands, and fingers.
+ Extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
+ Occasional reaching, twisting, and turning.
+ Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
ITAR Requirement: This position requires the use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The candidate must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines U.S. persons as U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (i.e., Green Card holders), and some refugees.
