    This role is responsible for supporting the Company's indirect tax department under the Tax Technology team. Senior Tax Analyst will work on transaction tax related business & digital support, tax research, & supporting data sourcing and preparation for the audit team.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Transaction tax lead for ongoing Digital and Company-wide strategic initiatives/projects.

    + Responsible for identifying key considerations and opportunities as well as directing function-specific components to ensure alignment and obstacle elimination.

    + Work closely with the Tax Technology team on implementing different tax systems software applications (process mapping, design, configuration, user acceptance testing)

    + Assist with sales tax related audits and controversies including frequent communication with Sales Tax Audit Team in order to understand data requirements from external auditors. Will work on pulling data and reconciling to tax returns and financials prior to discussing with Audit team.

    + Tax technical research to keep up to date with the changing transaction tax laws (sales/use, excise, etc.)

    + Engagement with business partners to understand pain-points and articulate to stakeholders.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 year Degree

     

    YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 3+ years

    YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: NA

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: System knowledge of Alteryx, AvaTax, OneSource preferred

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    + Bachelors/Masters Degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred

    + Knowledge of Oracle ERP system and any tax system a plus

    + Strong knowledge of indirect tax laws, regulations, systems, and accounting

    + Excellent reasoning, research, and problem solving skills

    + Strong communication skills (both written and oral) including ability to interact with external departments and taxing authorities

    + Proficient in required software applications (OneSource, Alteryx, Power BI, Excel)
