Description

We are seeking a senior litigation attorney for a General Counsel position in Sacramento, California. This role is situated in the legal industry and involves initiating and directing the implementation of policies and procedures, overseeing liability insurance policies, and coordinating with outside counsel on any claims.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and direct the implementation of best practices for our detail-oriented services

• Collaborate with the others to develop and direct all supporting services in an efficient and cost-effective manner

• Oversee liability insurance policies and manage coverage issues

• Act as the primary contact for outside counsel regarding any claims

• Provide the management and personnel teams with recruiting statistics

• Conduct in-house MCLE seminars

• Track and share State Bar opinions and guidance concerning legal ethics

Requirements • Candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge in Insurance Law.

• Prior Civil Litigation Experience is a must for the role.

• Ability to provide sound Legal Advice on a wide range of issues.

• Experience in conducting and participating in Committee Meetings is required.

• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and implementing Policies and Procedures is essential.

• The candidate should have a strong background in Risk Management.
