Description

We are looking for a Paralegal to join a commercial litigation firm in Oakland, California. This role is crucial to our operations as you will be responsible for assisting attorneys with legal and factual research, case management, and preparing legal documents. You will also have the opportunity to engage in various aspects of litigation from investigations to trial preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and submission of filings with State and Federal Courts and arbitration tribunals.

• Schedule hearings, appointments, and deadlines, ensuring smooth case management.

• Maintain accurate case files, client information, and records in an organized manner.

• Conduct legal and factual research, including creating case timelines and synthesizing facts.

• Aid in the preparation of discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.

• Proofread, format, and check citations in documents, adhering to the Bluebook citation guide.

• Provide comprehensive assistance in all aspects of litigation, including investigations, discovery, and trial preparation.

• Maintain and manage document databases and logs; produce documents when necessary.

• Record time in accordance with ABA litigation guidelines.

• Perform other case-related administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements • Must have strong experience in Trial Preparation

• Demonstrated experience in Civil Litigation is required

• Familiarity with Antitrust laws and regulations is essential

• Experience in Securities Litigation is needed

• Proficiency in e-Filing systems is expected

• Familiarity with Bluebooking citation guide is required

• Experience in preparing Discovery Requests is crucial

• Experience in preparing Discovery Responses is necessary
