Growing Personal Care and Cosmetics company in Downey/Los Angeles is seeking a R&D Lab Technician to join their team! This is a contract-to-hire position.

Shift: 6:30am-3pm

Pay rate range: $20-25/hr (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

+ Conduct testing on in-process, bulk, stability samples, and finished products for water content using KF titrator, as well as assessing water activity, melting point, viscosity, pH, specific gravity, density, and other wet chemistry methods.

+ Organize and collaborate with a Chemist to set up stability studies.

+ Adhere to GMP procedures and comply with all relevant regulations (e.g., FDA).

+ Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments as necessary.

+ Prepare volumetric solutions and perform standardization when required.

+ Maintain accurate documentation and retain samples as needed.

+ Follow laboratory safety protocols and properly dispose of hazardous waste.

+ Keep the workbench area organized and ensure glassware is cleaned.

+ Perform any additional tasks as needed to support company objectives.

Requirements:

+ High school or associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience.

+ Experience with physical testing: such as pH, viscosity and specific gravity.

+ Detail-oriented with high sense of urgency.

+ Energetic, team-oriented personality with positive attitude
