    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Must have one year experience in maintenance and repair of buildings

    + Must be willing and able to lift 50 pounds

    + Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

    + Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays

    + Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not ‎limited to, a ‎Level II background check and drug test

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Experience with Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical

    + Experience with a long-term care or hospital environment

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    This is an OPS (Temporary) position that deals with the physical plant; grounds; utility; and maintenance functions of the Nursing Home to ensure a clean, pleasing, and safe environment. Incumbent will report to the Utilities and Maintenance Superintendent.

     

    + Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of the buildings do not deteriorate

    + Provides routine repair services to defective equipment, repairs physical plant deficiencies, resolves routine work orders, assists with the assembly, delivery, and installation of facility equipment

    + Documents actions and outcomes of preventative maintenance efforts, repair services and other routine actions to assist the Maintenance Superintendent in maintenance of a concise record of services rendered

    + Maintains a clean and safe work environment, assists the Maintenance Superintendent with maintaining a focus of safety and accident prevention throughout the facility

    + Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
