    Job Title: Plumbing / Piping Apprentice - Commercial Construction

     

    Position Overview: We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Commercial Construction team as a Plumbing/Piping Apprentice for projects in Roanoke and surrounding areas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn learn and develop your skills in the Plumbing and/or Piping trade while providing high-quality installs to our commercial clients. As an apprentice, you will work under the guidance and supervision of experienced mechanics and leaders, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in commercial Plumbing and Piping systems and the installation process involved with new construction projects.

    Responsibilities:

    + Assist experienced Plumbing or Piping Mechanics in installing systems in commercial buildings.

    + Learn and follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.

    + Gather, retrieve, deliver, and organize material in specific job site areas.

    + Ability to read a tape measure

    + Ability to use hands to control tools

    + Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and lifts

    + Ability to work in cramped and awkward spaces at times

    + Great personality, positive attitude, sense of humor, and a tremendous work ethic

    Requirements:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Vocational school or prior training preferred.

    + Basic understanding of trade principles and concepts.

    + Strong interest in the trade and a desire to learn and develop new skills.

    + Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

    + Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.

    + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

    + Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    + Commitment to safety and following established protocols.

    + Pre-employment drug screen and background check will be performed.
