Research Scientist
The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry invites applications for a research scientist. This is a non-tenure track position at the Professor level. We seek candidates who utilize modern experimental approaches in animal models to address fundamental questions in neuroscience and biomedical engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to direct an independent research program and bring with them extramural funding, provide research training for graduate students and teach at the graduate level. The faculty member would be part of a larger neuroscience community with potential for secondary appointments in Brain and Cognitive Sciences and Neurosciences
Qualifications
Basic qualifications: PhD degree and 20 years’ experience. Post-offer health assessment is required.
An exceptional extramural funding history and international recognition is required. Major recognition of scientific achievement, such as election to the National Academy of Sciences, is strongly desired.
