    **UW Medical Center - Montlake** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Student Assistant to join our Transplant team** part-time - 10 to 19.5 hours per week during school year; up to full time during summer quarter). Individuals will perform general office functions; enter data into the records management software; update various logs, spreadsheets, and databases to track office activity/patient interactions; monitor and transcribe voicemails; assist with the creation and update of record series and the UW Medicine Records Retention Schedule; perform special projects and other tasks as assigned.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + enter lab data into Epic and other Electronic Medical Records/medical databases

    + contact patients to follow-up on testing and remind them of appointments

    + retrieve outside labs and studies from other facilities and labs

    + assemble packets

    + scan records into the EMR

    + other work as assigned **REQUIREMENTS** :

    + Current student at University of Washington

    + The student must be available to work during breaks between quarters

    + Summer part-time or full-time availability also desired but not required

    + Desired: excellent computer skills, attention to detail/accuracy, accountability and professionalism, pre-med or nursing studentTo be employed as a student, the student must meet the following minimum enrollment requirements (not including correspondence credits):

    + Undergraduate students - 6 credits

    + Graduate and professional students - 4 credits

    + Ph.D. candidates working on dissertations - 2 credits

    + Be approved for “On Leave” status

    + Student employees are limited to working 19.5 hours per week when classes are in session.

    + breaks or when "on leave." A student can work as a student assistant for one quarter while on leave.Students may be considered "on leave" as follows:Undergraduates - For one quarter immediately following a quarter in which the student was enrolled for at least 6 academic credits (this includes summer quarter).Graduate Students - When the student has applied for and been granted such status by the Dean of the Graduate School.
