    Chronos Operations (CO) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation based in Anchorage, AK. Belonging to the Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU), Chronos has a culture rooted in integrity, respect, and exceptional performance. Chronos is headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, and provides mission-critical services in Advanced Analytics & AI, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Intelligence.

     

    The **Quality Control Manager** will be responsible for managing and implementing quality assurance processes on a construction site. This role ensures that all construction activities comply with the required standards and specifications, maintaining high levels of quality and adherence to the Quality Control Plan.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure compliance with project quality control protocols according to contract construction, sampling, and testing requirements.

    + Develop, implement, and manage quality plans, outlining the procedures and processes for ensuring quality throughout the project as detailed in the contract requirements.

    + Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to identify quality deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

    + Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure all work meets contract documents, industry standards, and quality requirements.

    + Monitor compliance by ensuring that all construction activities adhere to quality standards, regulations, and client specifications, with special attention given to factors impacting construction.

    + Identify quality issues and ensure corrective actions are addressed and implemented.

    + Perform inspections and tests to assess the quality of all materials and workmanship at the site to ensure compliance with project specifications.

    + Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve any reported issues with the quality of work and materials.

    + Prepare and present quality reports highlighting key findings and recommendations.

    + Maintain inspection reports, logs, and other quality documentation.

    + Ensure that all materials, equipment, and construction practices adhere to relevant standards and project-specific requirements.

    + Set and monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and performance targets, driving action plans for continuous improvement.

    + Monitors and tracks the quality of work at various stages of construction, ensuring that all activities are performed in accordance with the plan.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed quality into every phase of the project lifecycle.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, OR

    + High school diploma or GED equivalent, with 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree

    + 5+ years of experience in quality control within the construction industry with at least 2+ years of experience in a managerial role

    + Experience with government contracting

    + Demonstrated experience in a QA/QC role in a fast-paced construction environment

    + Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred

    + Background check required

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    + Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.

    + Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

    + Knowledge of quality control processes and best practices in construction.

    + Ability to analyze data and identify trends to improve quality control processes.

    + Advanced skills in problem-solving to address and resolve quality-related issues.

    + Skillful time management and organizational skills to set and meet deadlines

    + Ability to be decisive and rapidly address quality issues without schedule delays

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills

    + Ability to work both independently and within a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

    + The willingness to work on occasion, long days, nights, and weekends to successfully fulfill the project requirements.

    + A strong work ethic, high integrity, relentless drive and enthusiasm, and a desire for longterm employment.

    + Reliability and regular ontime attendance

    + Good work ethic and active desire to learn

    + Ability to meet minimum security requirements
