    Website/UI Designer

     

    + Previous experience designing UI/UX for public facing websites and supporting developers in aligning development to design

    + *Other successful public-facing websites that they have worked on (they want to be able to view those.)

    + *Candidate should also submit a one-page writing example of an executive summary of a recommendation report.

     

    The Web UI Designer is responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for websites and applications. They focus on the visual elements and interactive components that users directly interact with to achieve a specific task or goal. This includes designing layouts, color palettes, typography, icons, buttons, and other interactive elements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Visual Design:

     

    Creating the overall visual style, including color schemes, typography, imagery, and other design elements, to ensure a consistent and appealing user experience.

     

    + Interface Design:

     

    Designing interactive elements like buttons, menus, navigation bars, and other components that allow users to interact with the website or application.

     

    + Wireframing and Prototyping:

     

    Creating basic layouts (wireframes) and interactive prototypes to visualize the structure and functionality of the interface before adding visual design elements.

     

    + User Research and Testing:

     

    Conducting user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and ensure that the interface is intuitive and easy to use.

     

    + Collaboration:

     

    Working closely with other team members, such as UX designers, developers, and product managers, to ensure that the design aligns with overall product goals and user needs.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    + Proficiency in UI Design Tools Expertise in software like Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar tools used for creating interfaces.

    + Visual Design Skills:

     

    Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and layout.

     

    + Basic Understanding of Front-end Languages:

     

    Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is helpful for prototyping and collaborating with developers.

     

    + Creative Problem-Solving:

     

    Ability to think creatively and find solutions to design challenges.

     

    + Communication and Collaboration Skills:

     

    Ability to effectively communicate design ideas and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
