We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented TIG Welders to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for precision welding tasks using the TIG (GTAW) process. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

+ Complete welding of prefabricated assemblies

+ Perform precision TIG welding on thin-gauge stainless steel and aluminum components

+ Fabricate simple assemblies from a blueprint

+ Maintain weld quality and cosmetic standards for fine, detailed work with minimal distortion or burn-through

+ Setup welding machines unassisted for any process or material thickness

+ Visually inspect completed welds for size and quality

+ Read/Interpret blueprints

+ Work independently and follow a schedule

+ Participate in shop cleanup activities

+ Use job routers to log time

+ Communicate with Shop Leads regarding quality and production schedules

+ Work safely

+ Assist coworkers with other tasks as assigned

+ Operate within the requirements of an ISO 9001 Quality System

Job Requirements:

+ High school diploma or GED

+ Minimum of 5 years' experience in both TIG aluminum and stainless steel

+ Proficient in GMAW, FCAW and GTAW for mild steel

+ Read and understand WPS (welding procedure specification)

+ Read a tape measure and interpret fractions

+ Use levels, squares, chalk line, angle finder and other fabrication tools

+ Use fillet gages to inspect weld sizes

+ Use basic hand tools (grinders, hammer, level, etc.)

Physical Demands:

+ The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, keyboards or controls

+ Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear

+ Occasionally required to walk, sit; and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

+ Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
