Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor will lead our pharmacy team in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care. This role involves overseeing clinical pharmacy services, ensuring optimal medication management, coordination of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee functions, and collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes. The Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor will also be responsible for staff training, development, and performance evaluation.
Essential Functions
+ **Leadership:** Supervises and mentor clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
+ **Clinical Services:** Oversees the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy programs, including medication therapy management, pharmacokinetics, and formulary management.
+ **Patient Care:** Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide direct patient care services, including medication reviews, patient counseling, and clinical consultations.
+ **Quality Improvement:** Leads initiatives to monitor and improve medication safety, efficacy, and adherence, utilizing data to drive evidence-based practice.
+ **Education and Training:** Provides ongoing education and training for pharmacy staff, healthcare providers, and patients regarding medication therapies and safety practices.
+ **Policy Development:** Develops, reviews, and updates clinical pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
+ **Research and Innovation:** Participates in clinical research projects and contribute to the advancement of pharmacy practice through innovation and implementation of new services.
+ **Performance Evaluation:** Conducts regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to clinical pharmacy staff, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
+ Other Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required or
+ Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
+ Other Pharmacy residency training (PGY1 or PGY2) preferred
+ 2-4 years Hospital pharmacist experience required
+ 2-4 years Progressive management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Knowledge of hospital pharmacy systems including experience with formulary management, clinical services organization, pharmacy automated devices, computerized order entry, and medication regimen review.
+ Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to address issues in a tactful and timely manner with all customer groups.
+ Concentration and attention to detail - often under time constraints.
+ Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high clinical quality and business appropriateness.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance and is able to manage multiple projects.
+ Mature, credible, reliable, tolerant, and determined.
+ Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view.
+ Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability.
+ Team-player with the ability to persuade and sell ideas and concepts.
Licenses and Certifications
+ RPH - Registered Pharmacist Current State Pharmacy Licensure required and
+ BCPS - Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist or other BPS specialty preferred
