The Leidos Spatial Solutions team has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer with Windows system administration experience to work on cloud-based systems supporting mission critical operations in Gaithersburg, MD. The team is involved in operation and sustainment of multiple operational cloud deployed geospatial solutions. A successful candidate will be a self-starter and have experience with installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of cloud-based systems and administration of citrix-based desktops in cloud-based environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will involve taking a leadership role in system changes and improvements; working directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot and responding to complex user INCs (Incident Reports); proactively recommend configuration changes to help improve system performance; Deploy security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments; update critical databases with new data; author and update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.

+ Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph

+ DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher)

+ Experience with Microsoft Windows Server

+ Windows administration experience

+ Experience completing security remediation tasks based on security scans

+ Citrix administration experience

+ Knowledge of Systems, Architectural, SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices

+ Proficient in software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.

+ Experience with AWS architectures and technologies

+ Familiar with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.)

+ Familiar with Git/GitLab or other source code control tools

+ Familiar with System Engineering documentation creation (VDDs, diagrams, etc.)

+ Familiar with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)

Preferred Qualifications:

+ SAFe Agile Certification

+ Experience providing systems engineering support for geospatial products

+ Citrix certification(s)

+ AWS certification (e.g. Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps Engineer)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
