    Position Overview

    Position Overview: Shaw Contract is a global design leader in commercial flooring for some of the world’s most creative and innovative environments. Our vast, sustainable product offerings can be found in diverse markets such as workplace, healthcare, hospitality, education, and multi-family dwellings; supporting the spaces in which we work, learn, live, play and heal. With over 300 account managers across the globe, the Shaw Contract marketing department supports sales of our flooring via traditional & digital channels; website, digital tools, product literature and promotional support, social media & email engagement, technical papers, and general sales support on events, promotions, and presentations.

     

    The Digital Marketing Intern will also assist with other overall marketing initiatives such as, email, SEO, updating web pages, assist in working with technology partners to develop new digital tools, data reporting and analytics. Our ideal candidate will be someone who wants to learn about many areas of our business. We are seeking a candidate who constantly challenges the status quo and brings new thoughts and ideas to the conversation. We prefer individuals who want to deep dive and become long-term members of our team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns.

    • Manage, create and update company webpages using basic HTML (no code).

    • Conduct SEO analysis and implement strategies to improve search engine rankings.

    • Utilize Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) for email marketing and lead generation.

    • Analyze website traffic and marketing effectiveness using Google Analytics or other analytical tools.

    • Support digital marketing initiatives, including email marketing, social media and content creation.

    • Assist in project management tasks to ensure timely completion of marketing projects.

    • Collaborate with various departments to gather information and create marketing materials.

    • Collect and analyze data to inform decisions, and make actionable next steps.

    • Assist in the development of monthly & Ad hoc data reporting to leadership.

    Requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.

    • Strong interest in project management and marketing.

    • Basic knowledge of HTML and experience in setting up webpages.

    • Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.

    • Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certifications from the Digital Marketing Institute or American Marketing Association.

    • Previous internship or work experience in marketing or related fields.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • General content creation, writing and proofreading.

    • Assist marketing team with product content updates

    • Complete other administrative tasks as needed.

    Position Requirements:

    • Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Graphic Design or Communications

    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

    • Intermediate writing and editing abilities

    • High interest in marketing related profession

    • Friendly, outgoing personality and can-do attitude

    • Possess good time management skills, multi-tasker and ability to meet deadlines

    • General knowledge of Microsoft 365, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, HTML.
