    Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

     

    Role Purpose

     

    The Senior Manager will play an integral role in the day-to-day management of Sports Production finances, including budgeting, actualization and analysis.  This position will support the Vice President, Production Finance.

    Responsibilities

    + Front-facing with Production & Operations as first point of contact, schedules/attends regular budget meetings, answers questions, and prepares cost analysis as necessary

    + Active involvement/Ownership of Production Budget processes, including: In-depth preparation of budgets for upcoming season, attending budget meetings, manage follow-up, work closely with Scheduling department to manage staffing schedules and budgets; assist with annual budget efforts: pacing and reporting, identifying risks and opportunities

    + Own processes for assigned areas FP&A and Controllership deliverables: monthly closing, pacing, estimates, LRP, budgets, variances, post-close financial reporting

    + Lead/manage one direct report (Financial Analyst) with responsibilities including, but not limited to: accurately code invoices, coordinate approvals, update operators and team members on status, work with vendors as needed, and actualize production budgets/update individual show models for accurate cost forecasting; posting of expenses in show models.

    + Ad hoc projects and requests, as necessary

    + Basic Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

    + Minimum 7+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance

    + Excellent computer / analysis skills, particularly in Excel

     

    This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the Stamford, CT office a minimum of three days per week.
