Thor Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly motivated System Administrator that is willing to grow and learn on the job in Virginia Beach, VA.  An ideal candidate will have exceptional troubleshooting experience and the willingness to learn multiple technology stacks to support Thor as they continue to grow as a company.

Typical Responsibilities:

+ System administration and maintenance of the Thor enterprise

+ VTC/Conference room administration and maintenance at Thor corporate offices

+ Troubleshooting end user problems involving end user equipment (laptops) to Virtual Machine interfaces.

+ Help create Thor procedures to ensure continued improvement of the IT division

Travel Requirements: This position is anticipated to require up to 15% travel, to THOR office locations including sites in VA, DC, CA, RI, and FL.

Typical Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion. May also require physical activity including lifting/moving computer & server hardware assets, setting up workstations, laying network cable, and supporting other IT infrastructure activities.

US Citizenship Required: Due to the requirements of the GCCH environment that this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required. Citizenship will be confirmed via I-9/E-Verify at the start of employment.

Secret Security Clearance Eligibility Required: This position requires eligibility for a DoD Secret security clearance. Only candidates with existing full or interim Secret security clearances (preferred), OR who can affirm that they are eligible, will be considered.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

+ One of the following:

+ High school diploma/GED equivalent.

+ Information Systems Technician (IT) or equivalent military occupational specialty (MOS) from prior U.S. military service.

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology field from an accredited university or college (preferred).

+ Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience utilizing troubleshooting techniques.

+ Understanding of Microsoft products and Windows operating system

+ Understanding of configuration management processes..

+ Must possess OR be willing to obtain it within ninety (90) days of hire CompTIA Security+ CE certification.

+ An ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following preferred certifications:

+ AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals.

+ AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate.

+ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Highly motivated to continue to grow in a position.
