    The Senior Scientist, Analytical Method Development position located in Fargo, ND is an onsite position. This role will be a part of the Analytical Method Development team and report to the Director, Analytical Development, responsible for both mRNA and protein Analytics, additionally support R&D projects to client driven campaigns and optimization of existing products/processes. The role of Senior Scientist, AMD is expected to be motivated and capable of efficient prioritization, planning and scheduling multiple projects in order to effectively meet pre-determined deadlines. The role includes managing a small team of like minded motivated scientists.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    + Design and execute on the development of new services and technologies such as (not limited to) mRNA, and proteins. Develop solutions for simple and complex problems requiring a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.

    + Lead the execution of experiments and bio-physical and chemical data analysis. Broaden existing expanded knowledge in own field, to other areas relevant to team operations.

    + Create data driven project summary reports, and presenting findings and recommendations to senior management

    + Support, lead or actively contribute to a team setting within the laboratory and potentially with other departmental work teams to: increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings, improve quality, and provide new innovation support

    The essential requirements for the job are:

    + PhD in Biochemistry or related scientific field preferred with 3+ years relevant work experience OR Master’s degree with preference of 5+ years of relevant work experience OR Bachelor’s degree with preference of 8+ years of relevant work experience

    + 3+ years of experience working in a molecular biology, biochemistry or microbiology laboratory environment

    + Experience in process development and optimization (biologics), assay optimization, experimental design, data analysis and data concept presentation

    + Knowledge of regulatory guidelines related analytical method development and validation

    + Bio-analytical method development skills, including chromatographic based methods, mass spectrometry methods, calorimetric and biophysical and chemical characterization of biologics
