    Chief Executive Officer Responsibilities:

    As the Chief Executive Officer at The Arc Wayne, you will have the opportunity to shape and enhance the agency's impact within the community. Your role will involve fostering strong, positive relationships with community members, staff, and personnel. You will provide visionary leadership and guidance, ensuring that the agency operates at its highest potential while expertly managing business operations and financial resources. Your influence will drive the mission forward, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

     

    + Interprets and executes the intent of the Board policy.

    + Informs Board of Directors of issues, needs and operations of the agency including but not limited to, the best use of resources, including facilities, labor and capital.

    + Submits an annual budget within the timelines established by the Board of Directors and evaluates financial needs and makes appropriate recommendations for expenditures.

    + Ensures that funds are spent within guidelines and that adequate controls and accounting practices are maintained.

    + Provides supervision, motivation, feedback, encouragement and monitors performance of executive staff.

    + Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders including donors, community leaders, and other non-profit organizations.

    + Develops and monitors Strategic Planning process.

    Who We Are Looking For:

    You possess outstanding oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills. You are extremely well organized, detailed oriented and able to meet frequent and changing deadlines. You have strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

     

    You have a Master's Degree in a Human Services field and eight years' experience leading complex organizations serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

    OR

    A Ph.D. in in human services field with six years' experience leading complex organizations serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

    A combination of education and experience may be considered.

     

    You also have a valid New York State driver's license that meets Agency Driver standards.

     

    Chief Executive Officer Pay Range: $150,000 to $170,000 per year, depends on education
