Our Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of pharmaceutical and medical products. We manage supplier relationships, execute purchase orders, and optimize inventory levels to meet customer needs. Job Summary:

As Director, Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing, this role will lead all supply chain activities for Cardinal Health's Distribution Center in Puerto Rico. Will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to optimize our supply chain, including:

+ **Sourcing and Supplier Management:** Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiate favorable distribution agreements, and ensure consistent performance of KPI metrics associated with the contracts.

+ **Demand Planning/S&OP:** Oversees the S&OP and Demand Planning Process. Determines KPIs and ensure a robust communication process with the Commercial teams to include relevant market data in the forecasting process.

+ **Supply Planning:** Lead supply planning process for RX and medical products. Ensure optimal inventory levels are kept to comply with service level to customers. Develop sourcing strategies to support seasonality and market trends.

+ **Inbound/Export Logistics:** Oversee all aspects of inbound and export logistics, including transportation, customs clearance, and compliance with relevant regulations.

+ **Financial Management:** Manage Inbound Transportation budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control. Generate relevant cost reduction projects to keep CAH competitive in the market.

+ **Team Leadership:** Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals, setting goals, monitoring performance, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead all supply chain activities for Puerto Rico, which includes:

+ Inventory Purchases for around 20,000 Pharma and Medical Products

+ Supplier Management and Distribution Agreements

+ S&OP Process

+ Inbound/Export logistics.

+ Budget and SG&A Budget for Supply Chain team

+ Generate income through negotiation of distribution agreements with suppliers. Develop best practices for vendor contract administration and deal closure.

+ Participate in strategic planning across all areas of the Puerto Rico organization

+ Develop mid to long-term strategies to manage digital transformation, resource utilization, and negotiation of distribution agreements.

+ Own the integrity of databases including products, suppliers, and pricing.

+ Ensure compliance on all Inbound and export Logistics processes with our free trade zone

+ Lead and develop a team of professionals by setting individual and departmental goals, monitoring performance, developing skills, and fostering their success.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

+ 7+ years of experience in a Supply Chain or Strategic Role.

+ Must be fully bilingual (Spanish & English).

+ Strong MS Office Excel skills.

+ Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

+ Strong analytical mindset with expertise in data-driven decision-making.

+ Self-motivated and proactive, with a track record of driving change and delivering results.

+ Strong leadership and communication skills (verbal and written).

+ Previous experience managing diverse teams.

+ Previous Operational Excellence experience is a plus.
