_What Direct Sales contributes to Cardinal Health_
Direct Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers to meet individual and organizational sales objectives.
_Responsibilities_
+ Applies knowledge of the customer's business to develop optimal solutions
+ Designing and implementing an strategic sales plan that expanse company customer base and ensure its strong presence
+ Identify emerging markets and market shift while being fully aware of new products and competition status
+ Develops and implements policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals
+ Proactively and with a regular cadence demonstrates to the customer the defined value of partnering with Cardinal Health both pre- and post-sales
+ Effectively negotiates and collaborates with the customer and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus
+ Maintains open and consistent dialogue with internal contacts and external customer end-users to ensure the Cardinal Health team is meeting or exceeding expectations; assesses the root cause of unmet expectations and takes action to resolve them
+ Identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships
_Qualifications_
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field is required, graduate degree preferred
+ 5yrs minimum healthcare sales experience: medical and pharmaceutical products is highly preferred
+ Experience driving effective strategies to build and foster customer relationships
+ Prior healthcare industry experience is preferred
+ Experience managing budget
+ Previous sales and marketing experience, highly preferred
+ Ability to travel 25% of time
+ Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
+ Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills
+ Must be fully bilingual written and verbal English and Spanish

+ Provides leadership to managers and experienced professional staff may also manage front line supervisors
+ Manages an organizational budget
+ Develops and implements policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals
+ Assists in the development of functional strategy
+ Decisions have an extended impact on work processes, outcomes, and customers
+ Interacts with internal and/or external leaders, including senior management
+ Persuades others into agreement in sensitive situations while maintaining positive relationships
