Overview

The Senior Manager of HR Systems Engineering will oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of HR technology systems. This role is responsible for leading a team of engineers to design and maintain HR systems that support the organization’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle HCM technology, software development methodologies, and systems engineering.

**Key Responsibilities** :

1. **HR Systems Development and Implementation** :

2. Lead the design, development, and deployment of HR technology solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and strategic goals.

3. Oversee the integration of various HR systems, including HRIS, ATS, LMS, and employee engagement platforms (such as Qualtrics, HR ServiceNow)

4. Ensure systems are compliant with data security standards and regulatory requirements.

5. **Team Leadership and Development** :

6. Manage, coach, and develop a team of HR systems engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

7. Provide guidance and support to team members in the development and implementation of HR technologies.

8. Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.

9. **Technology Innovation and Optimization** :

10. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in HR systems and processes.

11. Leverage automation tools, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), to enhance system efficiency and performance.

12. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of HR innovation.

13. **Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration** :

14. Collaborate with HR leaders, IT, and other business partners to understand their needs and ensure HR systems meet organizational requirements.

15. Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.

16. Provide training and support to HR staff and other users of HR technology systems.

17. **Agile Software Development** :

18. Lead HR technology projects using Agile software development methodologies to ensure flexibility, efficiency, and rapid delivery of solutions.

19. Develop and manage project plans, sprints, and timelines, ensuring timely and successful project outcomes.

20. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and Agile best practices within the team.

21. **Vendor Assessment and Strategy** :

22. Develop strategies to assess and determine the best use of internal resources versus external vendors for project delivery.

23. Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring their contributions align with organizational standards and objectives.

24. Conduct regular evaluations of vendor performance and value to ensure optimal partnerships.

25. **System Maintenance and Support** :

26. Ensure the ongoing maintenance and optimization of HR systems, addressing any issues or enhancements needed.

27. Develop and implement best practices for system administration, including regular updates and patches.

**Qualifications** :

+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR systems engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

+ Extensive experience with Oracle HCM technology and ServiceNow.

+ Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile, and systems engineering principles.

+ Familiarity with automation tools like Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

+ Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

+ Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
