    LOCATION OF POSITION: Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450; Various Districts in Monroe and Ontario County

     

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Position, Full-Time

     

    STARTING DATE: September 2025

    SALARY RANGE:$48,500 -$78,642 per school year

    *Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

    DUTIES:

    + Develop and implement appropriate individualized IEP goals and objectives.

    + Prepare CSE packets as required.

    + Ensure IEP Compliance.

    + Establish and maintain professional working relationships.

    + Support districts/teachers with their inquiries.

    + Conduct Functional Vision and/or O/M Assessments.

    + Perform related duties as agreed upon with the Department Administrators.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Master’s Degree and NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Blind/Visually Impaired

    + Certified/Qualified in Orientation and Mobility preferred.

    + Experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired/Mobility Instructor preferred.

    + Demonstrated ability to instruct in Braille inclusive of Nemeth Code preferred.

    + Experience and/or Knowledge of Assistive Technology preferred.

    + Open Minded and Flexible.

    + Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills.

    + Valid NY State Driver’s License.

    + Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
