Administrative Acquisition Specialist, Federal Defense
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking experienced Administrative Acquisition Specialists to provide acquisition planning, documentation, and process support to senior leadership at the U.S. Air Force and Space Force. This is a critical role supporting headquarters-level procurement operations, requiring knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across functional teams.
Requirements:
+ U.S. Citizenship (Required)
+ Active SECRET Clearance (Required)
+ Bachelor’s Degree with 24 business credits (Required)
+ 4+ years of experience supporting federal or DoD acquisition efforts (Required)
+ Possession of at least one of the following certifications: FAC-C, CPCM, CFCM, or DAWIA Level II in Contracting, Program Management, or Purchasing (Required)
+ Must reside in the greater Washington D.C. area (Virginia, the District, or Maryland)
+ Must be able to work onsite at the Pentagon or other National Capital Region facilities as needed
Skills:
+ Support the full lifecycle of acquisition planning including requirements documentation, procurement packages, and coordination across stakeholders
+ Assist with requirements planning, coordination meetings, and forecasting for acquisition activities
+ Prepare and staff procurement request packages, reports, memoranda, and supporting documents in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and Air Force-specific acquisition guidance
+ Serve as a liaison between program offices, contracting, finance, and mission partners to ensure timely and complete submission of acquisition documentation
+ Maintain acquisition tracking tools, dashboards, calendars, and integrated master schedules
+ Develop and maintain templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and business rules to enhance acquisition process standardization and efficiency
+ Provide acquisition data analysis to support performance tracking, compliance monitoring, and reporting (e.g., PALT, forecasting, workload balance)
+ Apply knowledge of the Federal and Air Force Category Management Program to support acquisition strategy alignment
+ Use tools such as SharePoint, Excel, SMT, and other systems to track packages and produce actionable insights
Preferred:
+ Experience supporting senior leadership in a Pentagon or major command environment
+ Familiarity with DoDI 5000.72, DAFI 63-138, and Air Force acquisition governance
+ Ability to draft acquisition-related briefings and reports for senior decision-makers
+ Strong writing, research, and organizational skills, with a focus on quality control and document standardization
