    Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health services, social services and education to children, adolescents and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional and learning problems, we provide a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.

     

    Position Summary: We are hiring a Clinical Therapist to join our School Based team and provide behavioral health counseling, assessments. Services to be provided primarily in the school but also in the community and home setting during non-school time. Schools are located in Lorain County. We have full time and part time positions available.

    Responsibilities Include:

    + Provide therapeutic service including clinical case management, consultation and prevention groups for children and families to assist clients and families with skill development, anger management, managing mental, emotional and behavior symptomology.

    + Work collaboratively with school administration and staff in the school setting to provide them, as well as the identified students with consultative support.

    + Provide individual supervision and group supervision for LPC, LSW and MFT candidates seeking independent licensure in a supportive team environment.

    Requirements:

    + A Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling, an LSW, LPC or MFT is required

    + Bachelor level licensed social workers who have diagnostic and clinical experience will be considered.

    + Prior experience in the delivery of mental health services in the school/community to children and families with complex needs is essential.

    + This position requires flexibility of schedule and ability to travel in response to the needs of families.
