Our client, a leader manufacturing company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the operations department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Maintenance Technician
**Location:** Panorama City, California area
**Pay Range:** $38-39 per hour (with potential increases)
We’re seeking a skilled and safety-conscious **Industrial Maintenance Technician** to join our team! In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide variety of electrical and mechanical production equipment to keep our operations running smoothly. Ideal candidates will have strong experience with AC/DC systems, PLCs, and industrial maintenance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of all production equipment and accessories.
+ Operate, inspect, and maintain all types of AC/DC electrical systems and components.
+ Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, test equipment, and your expertise to minimize downtime.
+ Install, program, and troubleshoot PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley) and VFDs.
+ Maintain and repair mechanical equipment including gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, compressors, blowers, and valves.
+ Work safely and report hazardous conditions immediately.
+ Install and repair electrical conduit, cables, tubing, piping, and related components.
+ Assist in maintaining a well-organized spare parts inventory.
+ Operate forklifts, hoists, and perform light rigging when needed.
+ Ensure all work complies with AIB standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
+ **Education:** High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
+ **Experience:** Minimum 4 years in industrial maintenance with electrical/mechanical systems.
+ Prior experience in food/beverage manufacturing or packaging is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
+ Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes.
+ Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, and solid-state controls.
+ Proficient in reading electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
+ Skilled in troubleshooting electrical motors, relays, timers, and control systems.
+ Experience with oven combustion and related safety devices is a plus.
+ Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and their maintenance.
+ Capable of using welding (MIG/TIG/ARC) and cutting equipment, as well as machine shop tools.
+ Proficient in using electrical testing tools such as voltmeters, meggers, and ammeters.
