Job Description
A large institutional bank is looking for a Quantitative Engineer to join the Global Risk division. This person will be joining a team that supports the Global Risk Analytics and Enterprise Independent Testing. Collectively the teams ensure accuracy across models, analytics tools and other risk measurements within the bank. The Quantitative Engineers are responsible for designing, build risk models that are common, reusable and scalable. These models and software components will help enable to data and analytics capabilities across Global Risk. This team works closely with modelers, risk managers and technologists to ensure the models are delivering their expected capabilities. This person should be able to handle millions of data points and lines of data because this technology is used to run large scale models. This person should be able to
Responsibilities will include:
- This person will design, develop and implementing models and test
- They will be sourcing and evaluating data required for modeling and testing
- They were responsible for documenting their process which includes clear and repeatable technical documentation models and tests for internal and regulatory purposes.
- They will be building performant big data pipelines
- They will work with stakeholders within Global Risk and across the bank to understand modeling and testing business processes and requirements

Skills and Requirements
- 2+ years within a software engineering role focused on Quantitative Finance
- Strong programming skills including Python, Pyspark and related tools
- Experience with Hadoop
- Exposure to building user facing applications with Angular, Javascript and React
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL null
