Job Description
The Technical Administrator will oversee the management, deployment, and security of software and client patching, server patching, and configuration, with specialized expertise in Microsoft Intune MDM policies, certificate management, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM). This role demands a detail-oriented professional with advanced technical skills, strong stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to IT security, compliance, and documentation. Preferred working hours extend until at least 2:00 PM Central Time (CT), equivalent to 12:30 AM the next day in India Standard Time (IST).
Key Responsibilities
Patch Management: Identify, test, and deploy software patches across servers and client devices (Windows, macOS, Linux) using MECM/SCCM and other tools to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date. Manage server patching schedules and software updates to maintain operational integrity.
Intune Configuration and MDM Expertise: Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM), with a focus on creating and enforcing Intune MDM policies, certificate management, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
MECM/SCCM Management: Utilize Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) for patch deployment, software distribution, and client management, ensuring seamless integration with Intune and other systems.
Monitoring and Reporting: Track patch deployment, system health, and MDM compliance, producing detailed reports on security metrics, compliance status, and operational performance for stakeholders.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to server and client patching, Intune configurations, MECM/SCCM operations, certificate management, and system performance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of patch management processes, Intune and MECM/SCCM configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and stakeholder interactions to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with business stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate technical updates, and align IT solutions with business objectives, ensuring clear and effective collaboration.

Skills and Requirements
Proven experience in server patching, software patching on servers, client patching, and configuration management using MECM/SCCM.
Expertise in Microsoft Intune configuration, including MDM policies, certificate management, and compliance enforcement.
Strong experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) for patch management and software deployment.
Demonstrated ability to produce detailed documentation and reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong experience interfacing with business stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business value, and managing stakeholder expectations.
In-depth understanding of IT security principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with other MDM solutions (e.g., Jamf, AirWatch).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on stakeholder engagement.
Ability to work until at least 2:00 PM Central Time (12:30 AM IST the next day).
Pay Rate: $5-10/hour Advanced knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of patching and configuration tasks.
Familiarity with additional MDM platforms and their integration with enterprise systems.
Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and their application to patch management and MDM. null
