Description
Amazon Air Cargo is looking for an experienced, self-starter Tech Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive adoption of Amazon Air’s B2B Air Cargo offering. This is an exciting opportunity to drive exponential growth by building and scaling global partnerships. The role will be responsible for identifying, vetting, launching and managing mutually beneficial partnerships, and developing effective strategies to meet organizational goals.
This role requires leading new market segment development efforts in the air cargo industry, with developing and managing interline agreements and cargo alliance partnerships. The Tech BDM will work across stakeholder teams to develop strategic partnerships within the air cargo ecosystem, including freight forwarders, airlines, and ground handling agents.
This role requires a business background and subject matter expertise that enables the Tech BDM to drive engagement and interaction with air cargo partners, as well as a technical understanding that enables them to easily interact with product developers for integration opportunities (such as Application Programming Interface (API) integration and end-to-end (E2E) solution). Experience with cargo booking platforms, air waybill management systems, and cargo tracking solutions is essential.
In this role, you will think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges within the air cargo industry, while building and conveying compelling value propositions, and working cross-organizationally to build consensus. The Tech BDM will establish new business via focused incubation mechanisms and broad partnerships in the air cargo sector. Experience with International Air Transport Association's (IATA's) Cargo XML standards and digital cargo initiatives is highly desired.
This role requires a keen sense of ownership, drive, scrappiness, and motivation to consistently exceed key performance metrics. You will be part builder, part operator, and part general manager, requiring you to prioritize well, communicate clearly, and understand how to drive a high level of focus in a complex air cargo environment.
As a key teammember in this fast-growing, exciting space you will have the opportunity to:
