    The Challenge: Network Engineering Services team under Worldwide Grocery Stores Tech is looking for a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager who is passionate and innovative, with a heart for Nourishing People and the Planet, to join our newly formed Engineering Services team. This team will be tackling some of our most complex and challenging projects and will deliver innovative technical solutions to advance the retail grocery industry.

     

    The Team: We are building a new team from the ground up. We can't wait to show customers what's possible when Amazon and Whole Foods Market innovate together. This is just the beginning, and we need exceptional people across all technological disciplines to build and unearth the full potential of this opportunity.

     

    The Role: Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment. As a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, you will help tackle a diverse landscape of technical challenges. We are an early-stage initiative, and you will play an active role in translating business requirements into concrete systems, prototyping concepts, and working with technology leaders within the team and across the business.

     

    The Work: You will design, develop, and deploy reliable distributed solutions that operate at Amazon scale for Whole Foods store networks. You will work with a variety of core languages and technologies, including Java, Python, and AWS services. You will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and will have the opportunity to redefine an industry while working with different teams across the Amazon and the Whole Foods Market. Along the way, we guarantee that you'll learn a lot, have fun, and make a positive impact on many people.

     

    A passion for working with new technologies and pushing the envelope on existing technology is required. A high level of ownership and bias-for-action is required to be successful in this role.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Lead end-to-end delivery of network infrastructure projects (WAN Connectivity) for new Stores, Offices and Warehouses.

     

    - Manage network lifecycle replacement initiatives and customer-driven network enhancement projects

     

    - Coordinate cross-functional teams including network engineers, vendors, and stakeholders

     

    - Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource planning

     

    - Identify and mitigate risks while managing scope and dependencies

     

    - Drive technical decisions and tradeoffs with engineering teams

     

    - Create and maintain project documentation and status reporting

     

    - Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

     

    - 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

     

    - 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

     

    - Experience with Telecom infrastructure like WAN technologies (Internet, terrestrial and non-terrestrial connectivity).

     

    - Experience with network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)

     

    - Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects

     

    - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

     

    - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts

     

    - AWS networking services knowledge (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway)

     

    - Experience with Telecom service providers (ISP, MSP)

     

    - PMP or similar project management certification

     

    - CCNA or equivalent networking certification

     

    - Experience with global infrastructure deployments

     

    - Knowledge of network security best practices
