Farragut State Park is hiring a Maintenance Craftsman Senior to help maintain and improve the facilities at one of Idaho’s largest and most historically significant parks.
Located on the southern tip of Lake Pend Oreille, just 20 miles north of Coeur d’Alene, Farragut State Park covers 4,000 acres of scenic beauty and World War II history. Once a bustling naval training station, the park now offers 223 campsites, 10 cabins, 7 group camps, extensive trails, boating access, equestrian facilities, and one-of-a-kind attractions like the Museum at the Brig.
As a Maintenance Craftsman Senior, you’ll play a vital role in keeping Farragut’s buildings, infrastructure, and park systems operational and visitor-ready. You’ll work hands-on across a variety of skilled trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and water systems maintenance. In this role, you’ll also lead and coordinate maintenance staff and projects, making a direct impact on the visitor experience and the preservation of a remarkable site.
This is an active, year-round position requiring broad technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and comfort working both indoors and outdoors in all weather.
If you’re ready to put your talents to work supporting public recreation, historic preservation, and the daily operations of one of Idaho’s flagship parks, we encourage you to apply today.
