About this role:
The Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) organization, provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office . This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. TCOO provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.
Within TCOO we are seeking a Specialty Software Engineering Senior Manager to join the Supply Chain, Security and Resiliency (SSR) Technology team which is part of Technology for Chief Administrative office(TCAO). The SSR team supports Supply Chain Management, Corporate Security, COO AI &Modeling, CAO Data and Insights and Enterprise Resiliency business reporting functions under the Chief Administrative Office. This role will lead various build outs of modeling, analytical platforms using Artificial Intelligence I & Generative AI tools, Big data and Python technologies.
In this role, you will:
+ Manage, coach, and develop a team or teams of engineering managers and experienced engineers in specialized domain areas, in roles with moderate complexity and risk responsible for building high quality capabilities with modern technology
+ Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture, and meeting non-functional requirements with each release
+ Partner with, engage and influence architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies, while understanding next generation domain architecture and enable application migration paths to target architecture, for example cloud readiness, application modernization, data strategy
+ Function as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning
+ Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle and security standards
+ Determine appropriate strategy and actions to act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and the teams to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables and help remove impediments, obstacles, and friction while encouraging constant learning, experimentation, and continual improvement
+ Build engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment to technical direction, and guide design, as needed
+ Interpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with moderate complexity, as well as identify, manage and mitigate technology and enterprise risk
+ Collaborate with, partner with and influence Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promote innovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy while being a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practices
+ Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers
+ Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in technology engineering
+ Hire, build and guide a culture of talent development to have the specialized domain experience and skills required to effectively design and deliver innovative solutions for product areas and products to meet business objectives and strategy, as well as conduct performance management for engineers and managers
Required Qualifications:
+ 6+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 3+ years of management or leadership experience
+ 1+ years of experience leading Generative AI or "Classical" AI initiatives
Desired Qualifications:
+ Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a synergetic attitude
+ Ability to develop and deliver effective, well-articulated, written, and oral communications (e.g., emails, presentation materials) applying appropriate level of content/ detail dependent upon audience and intent
+ Experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
+ Experience in Modeling, Gen AI implementations across CAO or COO domains (Supply Chain, Corporate Security, Resiliency, Operations, Risk) and implementation of technology solutions in one of the areas
+ Experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions
+ Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentations skills across technical and non-technical groups
+ Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environment
+ Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solutions
+ Experience with Agile transformations
+ Experience with Java, Big Data or Open Architecture stack
+ Experience with Gen AI/Traditional AI stack including Python, Spark, Large Language Models
+ Experience with Agentic AI frameworks or similar
+ Experience in creating & delivering technology roadmaps
+ Experience in managing on-shore and off-shore teams

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
