    We have an exciting opportunity for a Orion Crew Module Uprighting System (CMUS) Subsystem Manager to join the

     

    team with Aerodyne Industries, a teammate company.

     

    The Orion Crew Module Uprighting System (CMUS) Sub

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    The Orion Crew Module Uprighting System (CMUS) Subsystem Manager will:

    Lead Risk Assessments and track the progress of mitigation steps

     

    - Participate in CMUS design reviews, Hazard Analysis Reports, and weekly meetings with Orion stakeholders.

     

    - Witness the development and qualification testing

     

    - Conduct site visits to suppliers

     

    - Participate in multiple spacecraft level forums representing CMUS

     

    - Review of significant drawings, schematics, test plans, analysis, Failure Effects and Modes Analyses, requirements data,

     

    test data, critical processes, and address discrepancies and resolutions

     

    - Coordinate with Softgoods Subject Matter Experts on changes to the design, non-conformances, verification evidence

     

    and participate in other reviews and activities as needed.

     

    - Coordinate between Orion Stakeholder analysis teams at NASA and the Orion contractor

     

    - Coordinate NASA reviews of CMUS model development plan, with Subject Matter Expert (SME) assessment of gaps/

     

    risks, and potential mitigation activities

     

    - Report analysis status and gaps/risks to Orion program and Engineering Technical Authority (TA)

     

    - Perform other duties as required

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    - Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering and normally possess 5 - 10 years of related experience

     

    - Excellent people skills

     

    - Familiarity with desktop software applications, MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Teams, is required

     

    - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Requisition Preferences:

    - Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 10+ Years experience

     

    - Background in Loads and Dynamics and Monte Carlo Analysis

     

    - Familiarity with wave dynamics and spectra a plus

     

    - Familiarity with LS-Dyna a plus

     

    - Project Engineering skills a plus

     

    - Familiarity with NASA standards and verifications a plus

     

    - Ability to conduct engineering tests on development units a plus
