    Element has an opportunity for a **Night Shift** **Test Technician** to join our team. As a **Night Shift Test Technician** , you will be responsible for building and running a diverse set of test programs which test the physical limits of aerospace hardware. Whether it involves intentionally bursting hydraulic lines, to fire testing fuel pumps, or contaminating pneumatic valves, there is a tremendous variety and intrigue in the work performed at our location.

    Salary: $25- $30/hr DOE

    Responsibilities

    + Build and operate Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Mechanical Test Stands

    + Run a variety of unique tests based on customer requirements

    + Working on a variety of different tasks each and every day with limited routine work

    + Perform equipment maintenance, upkeep of the laboratory, and purchasing of equipment

    + Handling a variety of Fuels and Oils

    + Interact periodically with customers

    + Work with little direct supervision

    This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who is proactive, self-motivated and a team player. The person for this role is one who is respected by those they work with, keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge.

     

    + Fabrication skills (Metal Working, Carpentry, Plumbing, etc.) that will translate in unique ways to testing

    + Mechanical ability (Air Conditioning/Automotive/Marine/Maintenance experience)

    + Electronics Experience (480/120VAC and 24VDC) preferred

    + Instrumentation Experience (Pressure/Flow/Temperature sensors) preferred

    + Comfortability with Microsoft Excel and frequent computer usage

    + Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

    + Bring Toolbox to the job with essential tools.

    Physical Demands:

    + Frequency of required physical force: Moderate

    + Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and >50 lbs. on occasion

    + Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
