Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Database Analyst Associate to support secured government communications in Bluemont, VA. The role will be responsible for a wide variety of server administration roles.

**How a Database Analyst Associate will make an impact** :

+ Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft SQL Server.

+ Design and configure VMware virtual services.

+ Perform full system upgrades and repairs to Microsoft SQL databases, associated host virtual machines, and the hosting virtual environment.

+ Troubleshoot and repair faults within the Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server environments.

+ Maintain hardware and software inventory lists to include applications licensing and all associated maintenance and support contracts.

+ Evaluate and install required security patches and systems security updates.

+ Create user and admin accounts with specific access privileges.

+ Implement and maintain group policies specific to MS SQL and MS Server.

+ Plan and manage database specific taskings and exercises associated with systems security plans, disaster recovery plans, and contingency plans.

Required Skills:

+ Intermediate experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019.

+ Intermediate experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019.

+ Intermediate experience with VMware VSphere 7 or later.

+ Intermediate experience with Microsoft Active Directory and DNS Services.

+ Intermediate experience with Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG).

Desired Skills:

+ Experience with SolarWinds Orion platform deployments and associated SQL database integrations.

+ Experience with SolarWinds Applications and development of custom dashboards.

+ Experience with TrendMicro Deep Security Manager.

+ Advanced experience with relational databases and performing database administration using SQL.

The likely salary range for this position is $79,747 - $94,300. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
