Description We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Human Resource Specialist to join our team in Clifton Park, New York. In this role, you will oversee key HR functions, ensuring smooth operations and compliance across various processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to manage a dynamic workforce and contribute to organizational success.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the Human Resource Clerk, ensuring efficient onboarding and orientation processes for new employees.
• Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including Workers' Compensation, Disability, Paid Family Leave, and other offerings.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and related documentation.
• Oversee a workforce of approximately 130 employees, handling payroll changes, recruitment activities, and retention strategies.
• Prepare and process all necessary documentation related to employee lifecycle events such as hiring, promotions, and terminations.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws.
• Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, fostering a positive workplace environment.
• Manage special projects and initiatives to enhance HR operations and streamline processes.
• Support the Associate Executive Director with strategic HR planning and reporting as needed. Requirements • Associate degree in a business-related field or at least 2 years of experience as a Human Resource Manager.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, manage projects, and meet deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with HR systems is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations.
• Familiarity with systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or other HCM platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees and management.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
