Description
Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Manager for a client in the western suburbs. As an Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing critical financial operations, including the month-end close process, managing audits, and supervising a small team. This role presents an opportunity for individuals with prior managerial experience in accounting to leverage their skills.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the execution of the month-end close process.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, maintaining transparency and accountability.
• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with standard procedures.
• Handle external audits, ensuring all financial records and processes meet audit requirements.
• Supervise and guide a team of two, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Utilize ERP system for various accounting tasks, maximizing the efficiency of financial operations.
• Leverage Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Maintain a keen attention to detail in all accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial records.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is advantageous.
• Demonstrable proficiency in managing Month End Close is mandatory.
• Familiarity with ERP software system is a must.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required.
• Experience in financial reporting and budgeting is essential.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
This role offers a salary range of $100,000-$120,000 and comes with a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K with match, and paid time off.
