Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for a long-term contract role with a leading client in Akron, Ohio. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to play a key role in the financial operations of the organization. Key Responsibilities:

+ Process and review accounts payable invoices with precision, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols.

+ Audit and review credit card transactions and employee expense reports to ensure alignment with company policies.

+ Verify supporting documentation for all credit card and expense transactions to ensure adherence to internal standards.

+ Accurately input credit card and expense charges into accounting software, assigning appropriate cost centers to maintain accurate financial records.

+ Collect, verify, and maintain vendor documentation to ensure vendor files are complete and current.

+ Prepare and issue vendor payments through a variety of payment methods, based on vendor preferences.

+ Manage the generation and timely distribution of 1099 forms for applicable vendors.

+ Organize and file financial documents systematically to support recordkeeping and audits.

+ Safeguard sensitive financial data by maintaining strict confidentiality of all financial and vendor-related information.

Key Qualifications:

+ Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, with demonstrated attention to detail.

+ Proven experience working with accounting software and financial systems.

+ Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to balance competing priorities.

+ A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to accuracy.

+ Familiarity with tax reporting processes, including generating 1099 forms, is a plus.

Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s degree in business or accounting is preferred.

• Proven knowledge and experience with accounts payable processes.

• Proficiency in invoice processing, coding, and data entry.

• Familiarity with account reconciliation and check runs.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting tools.

• Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality while handling financial data.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
