Description
The Role
Your role as hedge fund engineer is to work across our trade generation systems. You will be working closely with our research and finance teams to generate, execute and track all trades, and with our data engineers to manage the flow and transformation of financial data through our systems. As a senior engineer, you will be expected to own and lead major projects while actively raising the engineering bar across the entire organization. You will work with other senior engineers to architect robust and performant systems and processes. You will work closely with management to translate business objectives into technical requirements, align projects and goals with key metrics, and grow the engineering team.
Project:
+ Take ownership of the business-critical trading pipelines. Automate all manual processes in the pre/post and trading process. Design and build the system to gracefully handle real world issues like market specific nuances, ad-hoc trade restrictions, corporate actions, short availability etc.
+ Expand our product offering by packaging our alpha in different separately managed accounts.
+ Take ownership of Data/API integrations with data providers, banks, and brokers. Be a primary technical point of contact to resolve any issues and manage the ongoing relationship. Design and build an extensible system to manage rapid onboarding of new Data/API providers.
+ Design and build key business metrics to measure the health of our hedge fund and counterparties. Use these metrics to drive and execute on a tactical and strategic roadmap for improvement.
Requirements
+ Experience building trading systems - front, middle and back-office experience are all useful and relevant.
+ Enfusion experience is highly desirable.
+ Excellent written communication (design docs, specs, documentation, code reviews, post-mortems)
+ Extreme ownership and extensive experience building customized applications using Python, Java and API integration on AWS
+ Good general systems knowledge and debugging skills
+ Strong interest in finance, machine learning, and decentralization
